When sampling this particular wedge sole, we found the treading and balance looked great, and the shoe had a nice feel. The silhouette is more casual, and the wedge matched with the gutsyleather upper creates a rugged shoe that can go anywhere.

The Badalassi Carlo Tannery's Minervaleather is one of our favorites. This boutique Italian tannery specializes invegetable tanning. During the process, the leather is placed in a 'Bottali,' a large barrel thatrotates, allowing the organic tanningsubstances to stay in contact with the article. A complete cycle may take 30 - 35 days. The result is an incredibly rich leather with transparency and depth.

The leather can have prominent vamp breaks and a variation of colors. Since this is a light-colored vegetable-tanned article, areas on the boot may have darker hues.
